Enshō-ji, Buddhist temple in Ikoma, Japan.

Enshō-ji is a Buddhist temple of the Shingon Ritsu sect with a main hall housing a statue of Shaka Nyorai as its principal deity. The complex includes the Shiseibo guest hall, a stone garden called Setsuzan-no-niwa, and several other structures with the main hall dating from the Muromachi period.

The temple was originally built in Hayashikoji-cho in Nara and relocated to its current location in Kami-machi, Ikoma in 1985. This move was undertaken to preserve the temple's valuable structures and artworks.

The temple maintains connections to the Tsutsui clan through artifacts and monuments on its grounds. These ties reflect the role this place played in the religious and social life of the region's samurai families.

The temple offers multiple buildings and a stone garden to explore at a relaxed pace. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and allow time to walk through the various structures and garden areas to appreciate the site fully.

A stone gorinto tower serving as a grave monument for the warrior Junsho Tsutsui stands on the grounds. This monument dates from the early 1500s and demonstrates the temple's connection to samurai families of the region.
