Children's Museum Big Bang, Science museum in Chayamadai, Sakai City, Japan

Children's Museum Big Bang is an eight-story building with interactive exhibits focused on space exploration and astronomy. The museum features an asteroid-shaped movie screen that displays stars and planets to visitors.

The museum was designed by Sakakura Associates Architects and Engineers and opened on June 23, 1999. It was created to provide children with a dedicated learning space focused on science and exploration.

The fourth floor recreates Sakai as it was from 1955 to 1975, with detailed building replicas and vintage objects that show how people lived during that period. Walking through this floor gives you a direct sense of the city's past and daily life back then.

The museum is three minutes away from Izumigaoka Station, making it easy to reach by train. You can plan your visit between 10 AM and 5 PM when all exhibits and interactive areas are open.

The Space Kitchen allows groups to prepare seasonal sweets together, creating a hands-on learning experience. The Heartipia Electrical Zoo transforms children's drawings into animated characters, bringing their creations to life on screen.
