The Sakai City Semboku Suemura Archaeological Museum exhibits local artifacts and findings within a modern structure in Ohasu Park, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture.
The museum, established in 1970 as Osaka Prefectural Semboku Archaeological Museum, transferred to Sakai City administration in 2010 before closing in 2016.
The exhibition spaces displayed pottery collections from Semboku New Town area, representing the daily practices and traditions of ancient regional communities.
The facility included one floor above ground and one basement level, with exhibits organized chronologically to present the progression of local archaeological discoveries.
Architect Fumihiko Maki designed this museum to integrate educational displays with research facilities, connecting visitors to archaeological methodologies and findings.
