The grounds of Myōkensan Park contain the foundations of Muya Castle, which stood as one of the Nine Castles of Awa during Japan's feudal period.
During spring, the park transforms into a gathering place where residents and visitors observe the annual cherry blossom flowering through traditional hanami celebrations.
Visitors can reach the park through a 20-minute walk from JR Naruto Station or take the Kitasako Line bus followed by a 5-minute walk.
The park houses Toriide Naruto, a renovated facility that functions both as a community center and an emergency shelter for the local population.
