Eska Hill Naruto, Observation deck and escalator in Naruto Park, Japan
The facility includes a 68-meter-long escalator that carries visitors to an observation point positioned 90 meters above sea level in Naruto Park.
The observation deck and escalator complex opened in April 1989, introducing a new way to view the Naruto Strait and its natural phenomena.
The first floor houses a store offering regional products from Naruto and Tokushima, along with a café serving local Narucyuru-Udon noodles.
Visitors can reach the facility within five minutes by car from Naruto-kita IC on the Kobe Awaji Naruto Expressway, with parking available for 500 yen.
The observation platform provides views of the Naruto whirlpools, which can reach 20 meters in diameter during specific tidal conditions.
