Eska Hill Naruto

Eska Hill Naruto is an observation platform with escalator access in Naruto Park, featuring a 68-meter-long escalator that carries visitors to a viewing point 90 meters above sea level. The facility overlooks the Naruto Strait and provides a vantage point to observe the natural phenomena that occur in these waters.

The facility opened in 1989 and introduced a new way for visitors to view the strait and its natural phenomena. This development made the area more accessible to tourists seeking to experience these waters from above.

The ground floor hosts a shop selling regional products from Naruto and Tokushima, and a café serving local noodle dishes. Visitors can taste the flavors the region is known for and experience how locals enjoy their food.

The location is reachable within five minutes by car from Naruto-kita IC on the expressway, with parking available. The on-site café and shop allow visitors to spend more time here if they wish.

From the platform, visitors can watch the Naruto whirlpools, which grow to striking sizes during specific tidal cycles. These natural displays occur only at certain times of day, making each visit different.
