富士櫻自然墓地公園, Natural cemetery park in Fujinomiya, Japan

The cemetery park spans 122 hectares at the base of Mount Fuji, featuring 8,000 cherry trees of 15 different varieties across its landscaped grounds.

The Soka Gakkai Buddhist organization established this memorial park in October 1980, creating a space that combines traditional burial practices with natural surroundings.

The cemetery incorporates two distinct columbarium buildings, the Taho and Joraku halls, following Japanese Buddhist memorial traditions for storing cremated remains.

Visitors can access the park from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily except Tuesdays, with special opening hours during Obon festival and equinox periods.

The cemetery grounds contain carefully maintained grass sections where all memorial stones maintain uniform dimensions, creating a harmonious pattern across the landscape.
