Josei Falls, Waterfall in Miyoshi, Japan

Josei Falls extends 126 meters downward through three sections called aranami, shiraito, and tamamizu, creating a natural water display in Hiroshima Prefecture.

The waterfall holds the record for the highest vertical drop among all waterfalls in Hiroshima Prefecture, flowing near the Go-no-kawa River between Miyoshi and Gotsu.

Local residents gather at the waterfall during specific seasons for traditional purification ceremonies and community celebrations that maintain regional customs.

Visitors can access the falls through a forest trail starting from the parking area near Route 375 or by walking from Sakugi-guchi Station across the red bridge.

During winter months, the water flow transforms into a mixture of snow and cascading streams, creating patterns against the rocky surface.
