Takita Family Residence, Maritime and house museum in Tokoname, Japan.

The Takita Family Residence features period furniture, ceramics, and lacquerware collections displayed across traditional Japanese architectural spaces from the 1850s.

The residence belonged to shipping agents who operated wooden vessels transporting ceramics, rice, and sake between Tokoname and Edo through Ise Bay routes.

The house maintains original elements of Japanese merchant architecture and contains a detailed 1:15 scale model of the family's commercial vessels.

Located at 4-4-75 Sakaecho, the museum opens daily from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM with free admission and provides guided tours of maritime artifacts.

The residence connects to the Pottery Footpath Course A, integrating maritime history with the local ceramic production heritage of Tokoname.
