日本基督教団東梅田教会

Higashi-Umeda Church is a church building in Kita-ku, Osaka, featuring stained glass windows and a modern pipe organ inside. The structure was completely rebuilt in 2001 and designed to be barrier-free for all visitors.

The church was founded in 1889 by American South Methodist missionaries and went through several mergers over time. It took its current name in 1953 when it became part of the United Church of Christ in Japan.

The building shows how Western religious architecture has taken root in Japan, with its design reflecting both traditions. Visitors can see how the space serves the local community as a meeting place beyond just Sunday services.

The building is open for Sunday worship services and hosts regular pipe organ concerts throughout the year. The barrier-free design makes it easy to move around, and visitors can ask staff about current events and activities.
