KTV Ōgimachi Square

KTV Ōgimachi Square is a museum and entertainment complex in Osaka that combines science exhibits with interactive activities across multiple floors. The facility focuses on technology, natural sciences, and entertainment tailored to different age groups of children.

The complex opened in 1997 and quickly established itself as a major educational facility in Osaka. Designed by Yasui Architects & Engineers, it has since become a hub for science education and children's entertainment.

The museum blends Japanese educational approaches with hands-on learning, where children explore scientific concepts through interactive demonstrations they can touch and control themselves. The spaces encourage visitors to become active participants rather than passive observers.

The venue is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 to 17:00 and on weekends until 19:00, with closures on Mondays and from December 28 to January 2. Visitors should plan to spend several hours exploring the different floors and exhibits at their own pace.

The building simultaneously operates as a broadcasting headquarters, science museum, and educational center, offering specialized programs for different age levels. This combination makes it an unusual facility that merges media production with direct science education.
