Genpachi Bridge, Girder bridge in Kita-ku and Miyakojima-ku, Japan.

Genpachi Bridge is a steel girder bridge connecting two districts in Osaka and carrying both vehicles and pedestrians across the waterway. The structure stretches about 200 meters in length and 11 meters in width, serving as a key traffic link in the urban network.

The bridge was built in 1936 as part of a major infrastructure campaign in Japan that created new connections between expanding urban districts. It reflects the industrial progress of that era and remains a record of the modernization efforts taking place during the 1930s.

The structure, known as 源八橋 in Japanese, represents the engineering capabilities of the 1930s and the growth of transportation networks.

The bridge is easily accessible and provides separate pathways for vehicles and pedestrians, making the crossing safe and comfortable. The best time to cross is outside rush hours when traffic is less intense.

The bridge maintains its original structural design from 1936, demonstrating the durability of early 20th-century Japanese engineering methods.
