Kema Sakuranomiya Park, Riverside park in Miyakojima, Japan
Kema Sakuranomiya Park extends for four kilometers along the Okawa River with 4,700 cherry trees creating lines of pink blossoms in spring.
The park development transformed this section of the Okawa River into a public space that connects the historical districts of Osaka through natural pathways.
During the cherry blossom season, local residents participate in hanami by gathering under the trees for traditional outdoor celebrations with food and drinks.
Visitors can reach the park by taking the JR Osaka Loop Line to Sakuranomiya Station, with the entrance located near the Okawa River banks.
River cruise boats pass through the park waters, allowing passengers to view the cherry blossoms from the water while sailing toward Osaka Castle.
