Yokohama Port Symbol Tower

The Yokohama Port Symbol Tower reaches a height of 48 meters and features an observation deck with 360-degree views of the harbor and city skyline.

The tower, inaugurated in July 1986, commemorates the centennial anniversary of Yokohama Port and represents the evolution of maritime trade in Japan.

The structure serves as a central gathering point for maritime festivals, seasonal celebrations, and community events that highlight Japanese port traditions.

The tower opens at different times throughout the year, with extended hours from July to August and reduced hours from November to February.

From the observation deck, visitors can watch international cargo ships and cruise vessels navigate through specific routes while receiving guidance from the signal station below.
