Suigō Sawara Festival Float Museum

The museum displays two traditional festival floats crafted from zelkova wood, reaching heights of eight meters and adorned with detailed sculptures and dolls.

The museum preserves floats from Sawara's prosperous Edo period when the city developed through water trade along the Tone River near Tokyo.

The collection features fourteen ceremonial floats used during summer and autumn festivals, representing traditions recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The museum opens daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with admission fees of 400 yen for adults and 200 yen for students.

Three panoramic screens in the theater room present visitors with immersive views of the grand festival celebrations throughout the year.
