Kaieji

Kaieji is an archaeological site containing temple ruins from the early period of Japanese Buddhism in Sennan. The remains show foundational structures and architectural elements that reflect how religious communities built and organized their spaces.

The temple was founded during the Hakuho period and played a role in spreading Buddhism throughout the Osaka region. Excavations reveal it remained an active religious site for several centuries before eventually being abandoned.
