Soshigaya

Soshigaya is a residential neighborhood in Setagaya built around a shopping street with more than 200 shops and restaurants. The street includes small independent stores, family-run cafes, and specialty shops that serve the daily needs of local people.

The area formed when Tokyo expanded and absorbed surrounding villages in the early 20th century. The shopping street grew as an essential supply hub for the expanding residential population.

The district incorporates Ultraman-themed decorations and holds regular Kanegon events, connecting entertainment with local commerce.

The neighborhood is easily reached via the Odakyu Line, offering direct connections to central Tokyo and major stations. The shopping street itself is flat and walkable, making it comfortable for browsing and shopping at a relaxed pace.
