Kinuta

Kinuta is a residential district in eastern Setagaya with parks, schools, and homes connected by local transportation networks. The heart of the area features Kinuta Park, home to the Setagaya Art Museum and surrounded by family-friendly facilities.

The district grew from a golf course in the 1950s and was later incorporated into Setagaya's administrative structure. This transformation followed Tokyo's reorganization after World War II.

The neighborhood centers on Kinuta Park, where the Setagaya Art Museum draws visitors throughout the year. Local residents use the green spaces regularly for walks and relaxation.

The district is easily reached via Seijōgakuen-Mae Station on the Odakyu Odawara Line and multiple bus routes. Using public transportation is the best way to explore the area and move around comfortably.

The district retains the layout of its former golf course, visible in the curved pathways and open spaces. This original design still shapes how the area looks and feels today.
