Akita Prefectural Central Park extends across 5,838,000 square meters, featuring multiple sports facilities including a main stadium that accommodates 22,000 spectators.
The park opened on March 17, 1983, under the architectural direction of Kunie Ito as part of a regional initiative to strengthen sports infrastructure.
The facility functions as a central training ground for multiple sports teams, including Blaublitz Akita soccer team, Saruta Kōgyō S.C., and Hokuto Bank SC.
The park contains an archery range, cross-country skiing course, baseball stadium, tennis courts, barbecue area, and camping grounds available for public use.
The Akita Sky Dome, resembling a white spacecraft, provides year-round training facilities and underwent substantial renovations in 2015 to enhance its capabilities.
