No. 1 Tadamigawa Bridge

The steel bridge spans 174 meters across the Tadami River with a main arch reaching 112 meters in length and stands against mountain slopes.

Construction of the bridge started in 1938 and concluded in 1941, becoming an essential component of the Tadami railway line connecting Fukushima and Niigata prefectures.

The bridge forms part of the Tadami Line railway system, which extends 135 kilometers through rural Japan, connecting numerous local communities in the region.

Visitors can observe the bridge from multiple vantage points near the Michi-no-eki Ozekaido Mishima Juku, with walking paths leading to different observation areas.

The structure changes appearance throughout seasons, from spring cherry blossoms to autumn colors and winter snow, creating different photographic opportunities.
