Shūrakuen Daibutsu, 愛知県東海市にある大仏
The Shūrakuen Daibutsu is a large Buddha statue located in Arao-machi in Tokai. The bronze figure sits in meditative posture and is surrounded by a temple complex that provides visitors with space for prayer and reflection.
The statue was built to create an important place of worship in the region. Over time, the temple developed into a significant center for Buddhist practice in the area.
The grounds are open to visitors during the day and offer straightforward paths to explore. Sturdy footwear is advisable as the terrain can be uneven and stairs lead to the main area.
