Zaika-ji, Buddhist temple in Toyokawa, Japan.

The temple features traditional wooden architecture with stone foxes scattered throughout the grounds and multiple prayer halls for meditation and worship.

Founded by Buddhist monk Tokai Gieki in 1441, the temple expanded during the Edo period when merchants frequented its halls for spiritual guidance.

The temple maintains both Buddhist and Shinto elements, including prayer halls dedicated to Senju Kannon and spaces featuring stone fox messengers.

Visitors can reach the temple via direct trains from Meitetsu Nagoya Station to Toyokawa-inari Station, followed by a short walk to the entrance.

A sacred pot from the temple's history reportedly provided endless food after the mysterious disappearance of an elderly man named Heihachiro.
