The Tsuburaya Kokichi Memorial Arena features a main arena of 2,730 square meters with three basketball courts, three tennis courts, and fourteen table tennis tables.

The facility opened in March 1994 as part of the Fukushima Airport inauguration project and served as an emergency shelter during the 2011 Eastern Japan earthquake.

The arena houses the Tsuburaya Kokichi Memorial Hall, displaying artifacts and memorabilia of the Sukagawa-born marathon runner who represented Japan in the Olympics.

The venue contains a main arena seating 5,004 spectators, a sub-arena, training rooms, shower facilities, and parking spaces for 406 vehicles near the Tohoku Expressway.

After sustaining flood damage during Typhoon Hagibis in 2019, the facility underwent restoration and reopened in October 2020 with enhanced protection measures.
