願成寺, Buddhist temple in Nirasaki, Japan
Located at Mount Hōō, Ganjō-ji Temple features a main hall containing a wooden Amida Buddha statue accompanied by two attendant figures.
Founded in 771, Ganjō-ji Temple became the family temple of Takeda Nobuyoshi, the first leader of the Takeda clan during the 12th century.
The temple maintains a collection of designated Important Cultural Properties, including three wooden statues representing Amida Buddha with two attendants.
Visitors can reach the temple via a 10-minute taxi ride from JR Nirasaki Station or by driving 10 minutes from Nirasaki Interchange.
The temple grounds contain a five-tiered stone pagoda that marks the burial site of Takeda Nobuyoshi, a significant feudal leader.
