Kitashōji Falls, Waterfall in Minami Alps National Park, Hokuto, Japan

The three-tiered Kitashōji Falls cascades down a granite cliff, reaching a total height of 121 meters with a width of 35 meters.

The Ministry of Environment recognized Kitashōji Falls in 1990 by including it in the official selection of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls.

The Ishiutoro River, which forms Kitashōji Falls, contributes to the larger Fuji River system, connecting natural landmarks across Yamanashi Prefecture.

Visitors access the falls through a 4-kilometer round trip hiking trail, featuring a suspension bridge and marked paths through Minami Alps National Park.

Below the main waterfall stands Kudan Falls, a secondary cascade measuring 40 meters in height and 20 meters in width.
