Kitashōji Falls

Kitashōji Falls is a multi-tiered waterfall in Minami Alps National Park that descends a rocky slope in stages. The water flows over a granite face, creating a substantial cascade within the mountain landscape.

The falls received official recognition in 1990 when the Japanese Ministry of Environment included it in the nation's Top 100 Waterfalls list. This designation established it as a notable destination for nature enthusiasts in the area.

Below the main cascade stands Kudan Falls, a secondary waterfall that adds another dramatic element to the site. This lower cascade complements the main attraction and reveals the layered nature of the water system.
