馬絹古墳

The circular burial mound measures 33 meters in diameter and rises 6 meters high, featuring stone-covered slopes and a surrounding moat 3.5 meters wide.

Built during the late 7th century, this tomb contains a complex stone chamber extending 9.6 meters in length with three separate rooms for ceremonial purposes.

The burial chamber walls display white clay decorative patterns and construction techniques that reflect strong influences from ancient Korean Peninsula tomb architecture.

Visitors can reach the archaeological site by taking a bus from Miyamaedaira Station on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, followed by a 5-minute walk from Kanayama stop.

The tomb's stone chamber incorporates precisely cut mudstone blocks joined with white clay bands, forming a sophisticated architectural structure that narrows toward the ceiling.
