The Nakano House Art Museum exhibits traditional Japanese decorative elements, paintings, and fine furniture from the Meiji period within its wooden architecture.
Established in 1997, this museum occupies the former residence of Nakano Kanichi, who initiated petroleum excavation activities in the Kanazu area during 1874.
The museum contains numerous artifacts and furnishings that represent the lifestyle of wealthy Japanese industrialists during the Meiji period.
Located at 598 Kanazu, the museum opens from September 20 to November 30, with admission fees of 1,000 yen for adults and free entry for students.
The estate features a garden named Senkei-en with 2,000 Japanese maple trees comprising 130 varieties that transform colors during autumn.
