Rinnō-ji, Buddhist temple in Kama, Fukuoka, Japan

The Sanbutsudo main hall of Rinnō-ji contains three wooden Buddha statues measuring eight meters in height, each covered in gold lacquer.

Established in 766, Rinnō-ji Temple expanded from a simple thatched-roof structure to become an influential religious center under Tokugawa administration.

The temple's three principal statues represent the mountain deities: Senju Kannon, Amida Nyorai, and Bato Kannon, each connected to local peaks.

Visitors can access the temple grounds through public transportation from nearby stations, with renovation work completed in March 2021.

The Shoyo-en garden, dating from the mid-17th century, combines with the temple architecture to form an integrated religious complex.
