The Hiroki Oda Museum of Art displays more than 300 paintings, prints, and sketches across multiple exhibition spaces housed in a red and white building positioned on a hillside. The collection spans works from different periods of the artist's career.
The museum opened in October 1995 to preserve and exhibit the works of Japanese artist Hiroki Oda. His artistic career spanned from 1909 to 2000, capturing more than a century of creative development.
The galleries present Hiroki Oda's artwork in chronological order, showing visitors how Japanese painting techniques evolved during the 20th century. You can observe how the artist experimented with and refined different approaches over time.
The museum provides audio guides, an on-site café, and a shop for visitors to use during their stay. Parking is available for about 30 vehicles, making it easy to reach if arriving by car.
The museum grants free admission to students below high school age on Saturdays and rotates special exhibitions three times yearly. These rotating displays often showcase lesser-known works or thematic collections that differ from the permanent display.
