Legoland Japan Resort, Theme park in Kinjō-futō, Nagoya, Japan
Legoland Japan Resort is a theme park in Kinjō-futō, Nagoya, Japan, featuring seven themed zones including Bricktopia, Adventure, and Knight's Kingdom. Rides, shows, and attractions focus primarily on families with young children and combine interactive building with entertainment in a compact format.
Planning for the resort began in 2013, and the opening took place on April 1, 2017, after the site near Nagoya port had been redeveloped. The park was the first Legoland property in Japan and expanded the global brand's presence in Asia.
The park blends play areas with reconstructions of well-known places across the country, built using miniature bricks. Children often work directly at the open building tables and experiment, while adults photograph the detailed models and admire the craftsmanship.
Access is via the nearest train station, and visitors should wear comfortable shoes as the site is explored on foot. For cooler days a jacket is recommended, as many attractions are outdoors and wind blows from the nearby harbor basin.
In the Factory zone visitors watch how the colorful bricks are produced right before their eyes, and each guest receives a freshly pressed brick as a personal keepsake. The production process shows the steps from liquid plastic to finished brick in a few minutes.
