Meiko Nishi Ohashi roadway bridges, Cable-stayed road bridge in Nagoya, Japan.

The Meiko Nishi Ohashi consists of two parallel bridges featuring distinctive red A-frame pylons that rise above Nagoya Port. Each bridge has a main span of about 758 meters with pylons reaching approximately 122 meters in height.

The first bridge opened in 1985 and was followed by a second bridge in 1997, both built to improve transportation connections in the port area. This two-phase construction reflects the gradual expansion of Nagoya's port infrastructure.

These bridges are part of the Meiko Triton system and their red color has become a recognizable feature of Nagoya's port landscape.

These toll bridges connect different areas across the port, providing a faster route for drivers through the region. The bridges are for vehicles only, so walking or cycling is not permitted on the roadway.

These bridges use a semi-fan cable arrangement where cables spread out from the pylons in a partial fan pattern. This design approach reduces stress on the pylons while allowing for longer spans with a more slender structure.
