Kōchi Castle Museum of History

The Kōchi Castle Museum of History features 67,000 historical materials and artworks passed down from the Yamauchi lords of the Tosa Domain.

The museum, which opened in March 2017, preserves numerous artifacts from the Sengoku and Edo periods, including original items used by the Daimyo.

The museum exhibits National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties through experiential displays, videos, and media presentations designed for different age groups.

Visitors can access the museum via the Kochijyo mae tram stop, rent wheelchairs, and purchase tickets at 700 yen for special exhibitions or 500 yen for regular entry.

The museum includes a costume corner where visitors can wear battle helmets and surcoats from the Edo Period while learning about samurai traditions.
