Saitama Municipal Cartoon Art Museum

Saitama Municipal Cartoon Art Museum is housed in a restored residence and focuses on displaying political cartoons and comics. The building features rotating exhibitions throughout the year and holds extensive collections of works by different artists.

The museum opened in 1966 in the former home of Rakuten Kitazawa, a key figure in developing modern Japanese comics. This location was chosen to preserve the connection between the artist and the medium he helped establish.
