Kamodamisaki Lighthouse, Maritime navigational structure at Kamodamisaki Cape in Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture, Japan

Kamodamisaki Lighthouse is a white concrete structure standing on a cape in Anan City that marks the easternmost point of Shikoku Island. The tower sends out a single flashing white light that vessels in the Seto Inland Sea can see from considerable distances away.

The lighthouse began operating in 1924 and was built to guide ships traveling through the Seto Inland Sea. This installation became an important piece of the region's coastal navigation system for maritime traffic.

The lighthouse sits near Sada Shrine, a place where local fishermen gather to celebrate a seasonal festival that honors the cape and its maritime importance.

The site is best reached by public transportation, starting with a train to Anan Station and then continuing by bus to a nearby location. From there, a walk is required, but the route is straightforward and accessible for most visitors.

This lighthouse works together with another facility in a neighboring prefecture to form a navigation line that helps define maritime boundaries at sea. The connection between them serves an important role in the region's coastal system.
