ABURAYAMA FUKUOKA, Ranch in Minami-ku, Fukuoka, Japan
Aburayama Fukuoka is a ranch situated on rolling terrain in Minami-ku where visitors can meet Holstein cows, horses, sheep, and goats in outdoor enclosures and sheltered barns. The property combines animal areas with a natural wooded setting that invites exploration.
The site was formed by combining the Aburayama Citizens' Forest with an existing animal farm and reopened in its new form in 2024. This merger created a place where nature and animal contact come together.
The ranch preserves traditional Japanese farming methods through demonstrations and educational programs, teaching agricultural practices to new generations.
The site is accessible by public transportation and located about 30 minutes from the city center. Visitors should wear open footwear and allow time to move between animal areas and different activities.
A notable feature is a 10-meter roller slide that descends to the Fureai Plaza below. The descent offers glimpses of Fukuoka city as visitors make their way down.
