Dream Bridge

Dream Bridge is a pedestrian crossing spanning the Ariake West Canal in the Odaiba area. It connects parts of Symbol Promenade Park and allows visitors to traverse this waterway on foot.

The structure opened in 1996 after earning the Tanaka Prize from the Japan Society of Civil Engineers in 1995 for its engineering excellence. This recognition highlights the technical quality invested in its construction.

The bridge holds significance as the location of the Olympic flame during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, marking a memorable moment in Japan's sporting events. Walking across it today connects visitors to this shared moment in the nation's history.

It can be reached from Tokyo Teleport Station on the Rinkai Line with roughly a 700 meter walk, or from Aomi Station on the Yurikamome Line. Both stations offer straightforward pathways to the crossing.

The crossing features specialized lighting designed to represent festival celebrations, creating shifting illumination patterns as evening falls. These changing lights give the space a special quality after dark.
