Odaiba Marine Park, Seaside park in Daiba, Tokyo, Japan
Odaiba Marine Park is a seaside park along Tokyo Bay with an artificial coastline spanning approximately 800 meters. The Rainbow Bridge and the city skyline form the backdrop from most areas of the park.
The park sits on islands that served as a defensive fort during the Edo period to protect Tokyo Bay from naval attacks. This military role shaped the area long before it became a public space.
The bronze Statue of Liberty replica has become a gathering point for visitors since the late 1990s, symbolizing connections between Japan and France. People often come here to photograph the statue with the bay and city in the background, making it a familiar landmark in the neighborhood.
The park is open around the clock and accessible directly from Odaiba Marine Park Station and Daiba Station on the Yurikamome line. Visit on clear days when views of the bay and bridge are best, and allow time to walk along the entire waterfront.
Visitors can gather seashells along the rocky shore and spot three illuminated landmarks at night: Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Tower, and the Giant Ferris Wheel. Windsurfing is also practiced here, and the nighttime views make it a favored spot for photography.
