Ministry of Social Security, North Korean law enforcement agency
The Ministry of Social Security is a government agency in North Korea responsible for enforcing laws and maintaining public order. It coordinates with other security agencies and monitors activities viewed as threats to state control.
The ministry underwent several name changes reflecting shifts in government priorities. It was called the Department of People's Security in 2010, became the Ministry of People's Security in 2016, and was renamed to its current title in May 2020.
This is an administrative building that is not open to the public and remains highly restricted. The area around it is controlled, and access for outsiders is strictly limited.
