Munsu Water Park, Indoor and outdoor water park in Pyongyang, North Korea.
Munsu Water Park is a leisure and bathing complex in Pyongyang that offers indoor and outdoor areas for swimmers and families. The complex includes wave machines, slides, a two-story fitness center, and several dining areas under one roof.
The facility was built in 2013 following a directive from the North Korean leader and was completed within a few months. Military forces contributed significantly to the construction to implement the project quickly.
The name comes from a historical Korean scholar whose legacy is preserved in this district. Visitors often see families spending weekends here, while the facility is also used for organized leisure activities.
Foreign visitors are accompanied by state guides throughout the entire facility, including in the changing rooms. The entrance fee is around seven British pounds and must be paid at the entrance.
The grounds feature their own brewery and bakery that produce fresh items directly on site. A hair salon offers approved haircuts, while a café and snack bar complete the catering options.
