Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia Exhibition Hall, Flower exhibition hall in Pyongyang, North Korea
The exhibition hall displays two distinct flowers: Kimilsungia, a purple orchid, and Kimjongilia, a red begonia, in numerous arrangements throughout the building.
The facility opened in 2002 to showcase the Kimilsungia orchid, introduced by an Indonesian botanist in 1975, and the Kimjongilia begonia, created by Japanese growers in 1988.
The exhibition hall contains educational displays about flower cultivation techniques while presenting photographs and artworks depicting North Korean leadership figures.
The building provides detailed information panels in multiple languages about the cultivation processes and meanings of both flower varieties for visitors.
The facility organizes special festivals during leadership birthdays, where hundreds of specimens demonstrate different growing and presentation methods.
