Seooreung

Seooreung is a royal burial complex in Goyang containing five tombs arranged within carefully constructed stone structures, walking paths, and ceremonial buildings spread across expansive green grounds. The graves are connected by maintained pathways that guide visitors through the landscape while stone monuments and ritual spaces create a sense of order throughout the site.

The site was established during the Joseon Dynasty and contains the remains of several Korean kings and queens from this era. These burials span several centuries and document how royal funeral practices and commemoration evolved throughout this significant period in Korean history.
