Visitors center Veluwezoom

The center incorporates two historic farms dating back to 1866 as part of its core structure, reflecting the area's traditional rural architecture and centuries-old land management practices including timber harvesting and hunting in the Veluwezoom region.

Operated by Natuurmonumenten, the center features educational exhibits about local cultural heritage including traditional farming practices and how historical communities interacted with the land, promoting environmental awareness and conservation values among visitors.

The facility offers practical amenities including guided tours, nature workshops, hiking and cycling route maps, bike rental services, a restaurant, and information about local accommodation options for planning day trips or overnight stays.

The center features a distinctive design by Space Encounters Office for Architecture with wooden slats wrapped around a glazed central section and a green roof garden that integrates the building seamlessly with its natural landscape surroundings.
