Łopuszna is a mountain village in the Gorce range near the High Tatras in southern Poland. It spreads along the Łopuszanka stream, with views of the Tatra peaks visible from different elevations throughout the settlement.
The wooden Holy Trinity church was consecrated in 1504 and is among the oldest religious buildings in the region, built with Gothic architectural elements. This early church building shows the long history of settlement in this mountain area.
The Tetmajer family manor from 1790 now serves as a branch of the Tatra Museum, displaying ethnographic objects that show how local people lived and worked. Walking through the rooms gives you a sense of daily life in this mountain community.
Two marked hiking trails start from this village: a blue trail leads to Turbacz and a black trail connects with the red trail at Zielenica Meadow. These routes offer different levels of difficulty and walking times.
Polish priest Józef Tischner held annual masses for mountain people at a chapel on Turbacz, accessible via the blue trail from here. This tradition connects the village to an important figure in modern Polish religious life.
