SLR Chełmce, Radio transmission tower in Chełmce, Poland.
SLR Chełmce is a concrete tower standing 74 meters tall and housing multiple broadcasting equipment for different services. The structure contains radio and television transmitters positioned at different heights, broadcasting digital programs to the surrounding area.
The facility transitioned from analog to digital television broadcasting in 2013, ending the transmission of TVP Info and Polsat in analog format. This modernization allowed for the operation of digital multiplex services.
The transmission station serves the local population by broadcasting radio and television programs that people in the region receive daily.
The tower is visible from outside and can be easily spotted from the surrounding area. Visitors should note that this is an operational facility and the tower itself is not open to the public for visits.
Radio Eska Kalisz/Ostrów broadcasts from this location on 101.1 MHz with relatively modest transmission power of 2 kilowatts. Despite this low power output, the station reaches a large portion of the surrounding region.
