Wzgórze Kilimandżaro, Recreational hill in Zalesie district, Wrocław, Poland.
Wzgórze Kilimandżaro is a recreational hill in the Zalesie district of Wrocław, rising 134 meters above sea level. It features deciduous trees covering a foundation of mud and gravel that was excavated during the construction of the Flood Canal.
The hill was created after World War II using excavated material from the Flood Canal construction project. Military remnants from the war were discovered during 2008 excavations, including a Flak gun installation.
The hill hosted numerous motocross competitions during the 1970s and became known through the film Motodrama directed by Andrzej Konic. This motorsport heritage made it a gathering place for enthusiasts of action sports.
Multiple hiking and cycling paths cross the hill, creating connections between different recreational areas in the surrounding region. The Morskie Oko swimming facility is located on the southern side and offers easy access from the main trails.
The western slope features a professional pumptrack circuit designed for bikes and skateboards. This facility draws young athletes from across the city seeking a challenging, fun riding experience.
