Costek

Costek is a small bronze figure located in a residential area of southwestern Wrocław. The sculpture displays detailed craftsmanship and occupies a place among hundreds of similar artworks scattered throughout the city.

The statue was installed in 2018 as part of a movement that began in the 1980s as symbolic resistance. Hundreds of these figures have since been added, transforming Wrocław into an open-air art gallery.

This figure is part of Wrocław's dwarf collection that emerged as a response to the Solidarity movement. Visitors can observe a piece of artistic resistance that continues to shape the city's cultural identity today.
