Politek, Dwarf statue in Karłowice-Różanka, Poland.
The bronze figure of Politek stands among more than 300 dwarf sculptures scattered throughout the streets and squares of Wrocław.
The statue was installed in December 2019 as part of a city-wide art project commemorating the Orange Alternative movement's resistance against communism.
The dwarf statues represent the spirit of Wrocław through small bronze figures that mark locations and tell stories across the urban landscape.
Visitors can locate Politek and other dwarf statues using dedicated maps available at tourist information centers or through digital applications.
Each winter morning, local children place small knitted scarves around Politek's neck to protect the bronze figure from the cold weather.
