Sarny Palace, Renaissance palace in Ścinawka Górna, Poland

Sarny Palace comprises fifteen separate buildings arranged within an English landscape park designed in the eighteenth century. The Renaissance architecture forms the foundation of this sprawling estate nestled in the Sudety Mountains.

The palace was built in 1590 for the Reichenbach family and later passed to the Counts von Götzen. This noble family held the estate from the seventeenth through the nineteenth century.

The chapel here displays ornate painted decorations and honors John of Nepomuk, showing the religious art that mattered to people of that era.

The site now operates as a cultural center offering a visitor center, cafe, and hotel rooms for overnight stays. Its location makes it accessible for day trips from nearby towns in the region.

Gustav Adolf von Götzen, a German explorer and former governor of German East Africa, spent time at this residence during his years of prominence. His travels shaped a worldly perspective that touched the estate's story.
