Ścinawka Średnia Castle

Ścinawka Średnia Castle is a manor house in the Kłodzko region built around a large residential tower measuring about 12.5 by 16 meters. The structure combines this strong central element with additional rooms that reflect different periods of construction.

Construction began in 1353 under Tammo II von Czechau with the central keep, which formed the foundation of the entire complex. Later additions, especially the kitchen from the early 16th century, show how the site's use evolved over time.

The site is known locally as a manor house whose rooms preserve Gothic and Renaissance elements that visitors can still see today. The wall paintings with floral patterns and stone vaults show the craftsmanship of earlier inhabitants.

Visitors should book tours in advance by phone since the owners personally guide guests and limit visitor numbers. It is important to allow time to explore the various rooms and outdoor grounds.

A freestanding kitchen building from the early 16th century features an unusual system of oven, chimney, and smokehouse combined in one structure without mechanical lifting devices. This old cooking house shows how everyday tasks were accomplished with simple solutions.
