Providence of God Church in Poznań, Catholic parish church in Piątkowo, Poznań, Poland

The Providence of God Church in Poznań stands at ul. ks. Wacława Gieburowskiego on the Bolesław Chrobry estate in Piątkowo. Built on a rectangular plan with a side chapel, it has a wooden ceiling. In the centre of the chancel wall is a relief of the Eye of Divine Providence, with a crucifix to the left and a painting of Our Lady of Częstochowa to the right, the sculptures by Eugeniusz Olechowski.

A funeral chapel dedicated to St. Stanislaus Kostka first stood on this site; its first Mass was celebrated on 1 November 1973. A pastoral centre was created in 1981 and the parish was erected on 1 February 1983. The present church took shape between 1980 and 1986, with a parish house added on the east side, and was consecrated on 15 December 2002 by Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki.

The parish was erected on 1 February 1983, after a pastoral centre was set up in 1981; the first Mass had been celebrated in the former funeral chapel of St Stanislaus Kostka on 1 November 1973. The church is dedicated to Divine Providence, whose relief "Eye of Providence" by Eugeniusz Olechowski sits in the middle of the chancel wall. A parish cemetery of St Stanislaus Kostka adjoins the church on the right.

Visitors should check opening times in advance, as services are held at different times depending on the day of the week. The church is located in a residential neighborhood, so arriving on foot or by public transportation is recommended.

The relief of the Eye of Divine Providence in the centre of the chancel wall, flanked by a crucifix with a figure of Christ on the left and a painting of Our Lady of Częstochowa on the right, was carved by Eugeniusz Olechowski, who also made the Stations of the Cross in the nave.
