Construction of this building began in 1933 following Poland's military history in the early decades of the 20th century. The new structure replaced a wooden chapel from 1924, marking a shift toward more permanent religious architecture in the developing neighborhood.
The church serves as a religious center for the Grochów neighborhood and reflects how local communities gathered around modern religious buildings in the mid-20th century.
